Fort Richmond Collegiate Graduation 2026 – June 24th, 2026
Graduation is a proud day for students, family, friends and staff. It is a chance to celebrate achievements and highlight memories throughout the high school years.
Fort Richmond Collegiate strives to make the day a special one. Our celebrations include a Convocation Ceremony and a Dinner and Dance Celebration.
Fort Richmond Collegiate is very proud of all graduating students and their contributions to the community locally and globally. We wish all graduates good luck in their last year of high school.
Grad 2026 will take place at RBC Convention Centre (Convocation, Dinner & Dance, Safe Grad), 375 York Ave, Winnipeg.
Grad Parent Information Meeting Wednesday May 20th at 7:00 pm in the FRC Gym:
- There will be a final information meeting for all parents
- This meeting will provide information about the Grad Convocation, Dinner and Dance and Safe Grad.
- We will be able to answer any questions you may have about the event/day itself.
- If you are unable to attend, we will post the PowerPoint slides used at this assembly on the Grade 12 Edsby page.
Grad Gown Pick Up – Friday June 19th, 2026 – 10:00 am to 12:00 pm
- All Graduates who are registered and are participating in Convocation must pick up their Gown, Cap and V-stole prior to Grad.
- Students can pick up this attire at FRC on June 19th from 10 am to noon.
- This will be a small event where music is played, snacks are given out and students can visit and take pictures with one another.
- An email with more details will be sent out in June.
Graduation Convocation Ceremony - Wednesday, June 24, 2026 – 8:30 am:
- The cost to participate in convocation is $45 for each graduate.
- The deadline to pay and register for convocation was April 20th. If you did not register, you cannot participate. If you would still like to participate you must contact the school immediately!
- There is no limit to how many guests can attend on behalf of a graduate. Guests are free and do not need to register to attend.
- Convocation will begin at 8:30 am. The usual runtime is approximately 2-3 hours.
- To prepare and arrange the graduates, we ask that the grads arrive NO LATER than 7:30 am.
- Please also be aware that construction can be an issue at this time of the year as well as finding parking. Please plan accordingly so that the grads arrive at the Convention Center by 7:30 am.
- There are no graduation related events for the FRC students in the afternoon.
- Students must remember to bring their Gown, Cap and V-stole. Please note that there will not be much time for students to take pictures after the Convocation ceremony as the next school will be coming in to set up. Students will need to return their Gowns and V-stole immediately after Convocation.
Graduation Dinner and Dance – Wednesday, June 24, 2026 – 5:45 pm:
- The 2026 Dinner and Dance tickets will be available to purchase on Thursday May 21st starting at 10:00 am.
- The Dinner and Dance will also take place on June 24 at the RBC Convention Centre.
- The doors will open at 5:30 pm, and dinner will start at 6:00 pm. There will also be a special Grad March to start the evening so we do ask that all Grads and families arrive on time so they do not miss this special moment, the Grad March begins at 6:00 pm sharp!
- Tickets are $90 per person. Anyone that would like to attend must purchase a ticket.
- Students can order tickets for family and friends. Students can invite as many family members and friends as they choose. Each table can accommodate 10 people.
- The deadline for purchasing tickets is June 11th, 2026. Any tickets purchased after this date will be charged a late fee of $10 per ticket. No tickets will be sold after June 18th, as we need to confirm numbers to the RBC Convention Center at that time.
- An email will be sent home to families with the link to purchase tickets. You can also purchase tickets below by clicking on the “Buy Tickets” button.
Safe Grad – Wednesday June 24, 2026 – 11:00 pm:
- Safe Grad will commence immediately after the Dinner and Dance.
- All Grads and family members will be asked to leave the Dinner space around 10:30 pm. Grads will be checked in, given wristbands and then will re-enter the room for Safe Grad.
- Safe Grad is NOT a school run event. Safe Grad is run by a parent committee. If you would like to volunteer to help during Safe Grad please reach out to the Safe Grad Chair, they are always looking for more help! (Contact information below)
- Safe Grad is an event in which students can gather, dance, play games, take pictures and socialize with their graduating class one final time.
- Ticket cost $20. Tickets will be purchased online through Permission Click.
- Tickets sale dates Thursday, May 21 until midnight Tuesday, June 23. An email will be sent out once this information is available!
- Students will not be able to change between the Dinner and Safe Grad.
- All Graduates will require one piece of photo ID to enter Safe Grad (regardless of if they are 18 or not).
- Grads will be able to invite one guest to attend Safe Grad with them if they choose. The graduate is responsible for their guest, and if their guest for any reason is asked to leave, the graduate will be asked to leave as well.
Other Information for Grads and Families:
- Everyone's Grad Portrait in the FRC Yearbook will be the same default pose, even if you chose something different on the Lifetouch website. If you have retakes and want to ensure the right photo is in the Yearbook, you can visit Mr. Lindal in Room 304 at lunch.
- Final reminder: If you have not purchased a yearbook yet, you still can but need to do so Friday, May 29. Please contact Ms. Lindal on Edsby for any inquiries.
